About 0.5 mile, easy, fairly level with some steps. A crescent path past pioneer names written in axle grease, dating to 1881.
About 4 miles, moderate, with rocky slopes and uneven surfaces. Leads toward a natural sandstone amphitheater through red, white, and black rock. The park also notes a shorter, about one-mile route to the amphitheater from the Whiterocks Road parking area.
The park publishes more than 38 miles of hiking trails, plus a paved walking and biking path (Whiptail) and equestrian routes. Johnson Canyon is closed March 15 through September 14 except for ranger-guided hikes.
The name is misleading: this is a desert park. The park warns that summer daytime temperatures can run from the low 100s to 117°F, and that most trails have no shade.

Packing detail lives on the desert packing list. Sample half-day and full-day shapes are on Plan your trip. A one-day and two-day version is on the itinerary. Lots are on parking. Easier paths are on accessibility.
Most Snow Canyon trails do not need a guide. If you want one for context or a technical route, see tours & experiences for what to check before booking. Guides are outside companies, not us.
Mentioned above. Compare options and check specs against the park's current guidance.
