Every activity type that actually happens in and around the park, with what the official pages say. We do not run any of it, and we do not invent operators or prices. Where partner booking is planned, the card says so.
Guided & ranger hikes
What to expect: The park runs seasonal ranger programs and ranger-guided hikes into Johnson Canyon during its March 15 – September 14 closure. Paid guided hikes may be added here later through a partner.
Who it’s for: First-timers who want context, and families.
Canyoneering
What to expect: Two routes need an online permit: Arch Canyon and Island in the Sky. Permits go on sale up to four months ahead and cover up to six people. Arch Canyon permits run September 15 – March 14 only.
Who it’s for: People with rappelling skills, or anyone learning from a qualified instructor.
Rock climbing
What to expect: Climbers use walls such as Chuckwalla Wall in the Paradise Canyon area (park brochure). Park rules apply.
Who it’s for: Experienced climbers or guided beginners.
E-bike & biking
What to expect: E-bikes are allowed. Bikes go on Snow Canyon Drive, the paved Whiptail trail, West Canyon, and most Paradise Canyon trails. Bikes are not allowed on Johnson Canyon.
Who it’s for: Riders who want red rock without a long hike.
Horseback riding
What to expect: Over 15 miles of equestrian trails. Ask the park for the map of designated horse trails. We do not list a stable.
Who it’s for: Riders who bring their own horse.
Photography
What to expect: Sunrise light on the white and red rock. Professional and portrait shoots need a park permit; the 2026 guidelines list fees.
Who it’s for: Photographers of every level.
Stargazing
What to expect: Snow Canyon is on the Utah State Parks dark-sky list. The park is open until 10 p.m.
Who it’s for: Night-sky curious families and photographers.
Jeep / ATV / UTV
What to expect: Not inside the park. The park does not offer ATV or UTV trails, and vehicles stay on designated roads. Off-highway riding means land outside the park that publishes OHV routes.
Who it’s for: People who want motorized adventure, outside Snow Canyon.
Scenic flights are not listed: we did not find an official park source to cite. For paid tours as they come online, see tours.
